SALT Manager/Director
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated SALT Manager/Director to lead our State and Local Tax (SALT) team. The ideal candidate will oversee compliance, strategy, and advisory related to sales tax and property tax. This role requires a deep understanding of tax regulations and the ability to provide strategic guidance to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the SALT compliance process, ensuring timely and accurate filing of sales and property tax returns.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize tax positions for clients.
- Provide guidance on sales incentive programs and their tax implications.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to stay updated on regulatory changes affecting SALT.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide comprehensive tax planning and advisory services.
- Review and enhance internal processes related to SALT compliance and reporting.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in state and local tax (SALT) compliance and advisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of sales tax and property tax regulations.
- Experience in managing teams and projects effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and stakeholders.
